Body Language Images
You can see all the body language images you could ever want just by looking at other people going about their every day lives. People use body language in every situation as a response to whatever that situation is.
Body language differs from culture to culture and what is ok to do here in the US may not be the same as if you go to China. For instance, it is perfectly OK to point at something with your index finger here in the US but if you go to China this is considered rude. The Chinese point to something using their whole hand with the palm facing up.
Many body language images can be found on the internet. Just type in your keyword and you will be taken to many different sites with videos on the subject. Body language is a big business and there are lots of people just like you who are looking for information on the subject. You can find a lot of information on different studies just by searching the internet.
Communication classes teach you about the importance of body language in the workplace. If you are good at it you may find that you are in great demand. Your boss can use your talent to help him figure out what people in a meeting are feeling about the topic at hand or he can use your talent to figure out what his competitors are doing.
For communication to take place several things need to happen in succession.
1. An idea forms.
2. That idea is then transmitted by the spoken word or written word.
3. The message with the idea is received by the listener or reader.
There are also three types of communication according to Albert Mehrabian, UCLA professor, and they are:
1. the spoken word.
2. tone of voice
3. body language
Mehrabian also says that 55% of communication is body language. The tone of voice makes up for another 38% and the spoken word rounds everything out with its 7% of communication. This means that we send most of our messages without ever saying a word.
Nonverbal communication includes body language, gestures, facial expressions, tones of voice, and eye contact. Dr. Edward G. Wertheim tells us, “nonverbal cues in communication have five roles: they repeat and confirm what a person is saying if they are being honest, they contradict what a person is saying if they are being dishonest, they can substitute for verbal forms of communication and they compliment or accent what a person says.”
Body language gives clues to how that person is really feeling about something and is one of the forms of communication most often studied by others. People react to every situation with body language. The way they stand or sit, their facial expressions, gestures they use and eye contact can all tell you what they are feeling about the situation they are in. all you have to do is watch other peoples reactions to learn about body language.

When you rub your hands together, the action of scraping the surface of your skin back and forth against each other causes the molecules in your skin to move a little faster. The faster that molecules move, the higher the temperature. So the friction of rubbing your hands together makes them feel warmer. According to Aristotle, the hand is the “tool of tools.” In general, it is strength, power, and protection.
